Network Connection Application

Need to connect power to a new site on the Nelson Electricity network?

You will need to complete a Network Connection Application form. The form is available from your chosen Approved Electrical Contractor or by clicking the link below.

A Network Connection Application must be completed for -

  • Totally new connection

  • Temp builder's metered supply

  • Overhead to underground conversion

  • Upgrade in fuse sizing

  • Downgrade in fuse sizing

  • Phase change

  • For a permanent disconnection/decommission - liaise with your energy trader in the first instance

Complete the Application in full and either hand deliver, fax (03 546 0487) or email katie@nel.co.nz and you can always phone Katie 03 546 0490 to discuss further.

Nelson Electricity will liaise with your electricity retailer and forward the completed application to the Approved Electrical Contractor you nominated on the application to undertake any work for you. You will then need to contact the Contractor to book your job.

For larger projects which may require capital contributions and large power supply upgrades, complete the Application in the first instance and send through to Nelson Electricity and make contact with one of our helpful staff members.
